El Panza es Primero restaurant in Puerto Morelos MexicoLa Panza es Primero – (Rebuilt and reopened!) Very cold beer and cocktails. Has a cartoon Mexican sports bar atmosphere, with good Mexican food, ocean front, and a great palapa.
El Pesquero – Seafood and Margaritas, opposite lighthouse. 7 days.
Pelicanos - Ocean view and classic Margaritas. 7 days.
Playitas – On beach near lighthouse, seafood. 7 days.

La Pepita – Plastic chairs and tables, great fried fish, wandering singers, lots of atmosphere. 7 days.
Chicken Itza – Local eatery with grilled chicken. On Niños Heroes at the northern end near Tortillera next to mini super. Closed Tuesday.
La Choza de Chaman – Next to police station. 7 days.
Loncheria Mimi – On Niños Heroes, first block. Cheap local food. Closed Sunday.

Al Chimmichurri – The best Uruguayan steaks are here, great empanadas, south of town Square, the place to people watch. Closed Monday.
John Gray’s Kitchen – The most high end restaurant in town. Consistently good quality fusion food, great wine list. Closed Sunday.
Tanino’s – Alongside Chimmichurri. Wine bar with great baguettes and cheeses. Closed Sunday.
La Terraza – Cozy den of good nutritious foods with Asian and Lebanese influences. 7 days.
Govindas – At Sivandatha Yoga Hall north end of town, economical vegetarian. High season only, lunch only.
Los Gauchos – Uruguayan and Argentinian with home made pastas and bread. Closed Monday.
Pangea – Great healthy range of food, often great music. Closed Wednesday.
El Tejones Loco – Italian adjacent the Church, pasta and pizza. 7 days.
Cantina Habaneros – Mostly an expat hangout with American-style food, cold beers and often great live music.
El Pirata – Wide and varied menu, popular with tourists, busy spot. Now in front of Habaneros. Closed Monday.

Fonda Americana – USA style food, good atmosphere. Closed August to November.
My Little Italy – Fun little place, great foccaccia, service can be slow.
