Authentic Mexican Cooking Class

Our Mexican cooking classes are an adventure in preparing and tasting authentic and modern Mexican dishes and geared for curious travellers.

Get ready for a fun-filled and inspiring food day that will start with delicious pastry with Mexican organic coffee then an overview of authentic Mexican ingredients and an introduction to the cuisines of Mexico.

Next, participate in the hands-on making of 7 to 8 dishes and authentic drinks. The day will culminate in a full Mexican late lunch of the dishes you helped prepare- a true comida fuerte!

You’ll take home a recipe booklet of the dishes taught that day at The Little Mexican Cooking School as well as a souvenir apron so you can practice and impress your guests back home!


We currently rotate 7 different menus – each menu representing one of the 7 different culinary regions of Mexico. Our classes offer enough variety to appeal to those with certain food likes or dislikes but any real food allergies should be brought to our attention during booking time.

How the Day Goes

9:45 AM Greeting and pastry with Mexican coffee or tea
10:00 – 11:00 AM Introduction to the region of the day, its ingredients & flavours
11:00 AM – 2:30 PM Cooking Class

Booking & Payment Prior to Departure

Please book your class online using our secure booking page prior to your arrival in Mexico. With the highly secure PayPal system, we can accept payment with any major credit card.


Booking Upon Arrival

Advanced booking is recommended. ‘Drop-ins’ are accommodated when space allows. Payment must be made no later than 36 hours prior to the scheduled class. Cash in pesos or US dollars are accepted. Credit cards are accepted on location not by phone with a 5% surcharge. Travellers cheques and personal cheques cannot be accepted.

Twenty-five percent of the total price will be charged if the cancellation is made BEFORE 15 days prior to the class date. When the cancellation occurs between the 14th day to the first day of the class, we regret that we cannot honor refunds. If a course is cancelled by the school, all fees will be refunded.
